Submissions should be a published article, a working paper, a conference paper or an article submitted for publication. Full PhD dissertations will not be accepted.  Submissions must be single authored.
  • Taught Postgradudate Student Award: Applicants should be taught postgraduate research students in any area of Regional Science (regional economics, quantitative economic geography, etc.). These awards are confined to students who are (or have been in the previous academic year) registered in a British or Irish institute of higher education. In each case, the prize for winners will be an invitation to present the work at the RSAI-BIS annual conference in Cardiff in September 2011. Conference fees (including membership of the section) and two nights’ accommodation in the conference hotel are included. Successful applicants will be expected to attend the conference. A certificate will also be presented. Applicants will be contacted with the judges’ decision by email and winners will be announced on this website.

Applicants for each of the awards should submit their work to the RSAI-BIS Secretary at the address below (preferably by e-mail) by December 10th 2010. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision in April 2011.
