In 2008 the British and Irish Section of RSAI and the University of Liverpool hosted the 48th Congress of the European Regional Science Association (27-31 August, Liverpool, UK).
The 38th RSAI-BIS Annual Conference was thus moved to 2009 and it is scheduled to take place in Limerick, Ireland, between 2-4 September 2009.
