Workshops

A particular feature of the British Section has been the establishment of workshops as a means of stimulating new research in regional science. They have varied widely both in aims and organisation. Themes of workshops have included such topics as ‘Regional Science Methods in Strategic Planning’, ‘Spatial Representation’, ‘History of Planning Methodology’, ‘Census Application and Methodology’, ‘Urban and Regional Labour Markets’, and ‘UK Inter-Regional Input-Output Tables’.
