The RSAI British & Irish Section invites the submission of abstracts to be considered for the 2026 RSAI-BIS Annual Conference in Belfast.
Suggested themes for the conference are listed below, though quality papers in all areas of regional science are welcome.

Early career researchers and doctoral students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Important dates:
Abstract submission opens: 20 December 2025
Deadline for abstract submission: February 13, 2026
Presenters notified of abstract decision: No later than February 28, 2026.
Deadline for early-bird rate: 31 March 2026
Preliminary programme released: 17 April 2026
Payment deadline for inclusion in final programme: 1 May 2026
Important dates regarding cancellation:
Cancellations received before April 17 will receive a full refund of the registration fee.
Cancellations between April 18 and May 1 will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.
Cancellations from May 2 (11 days before the conference) are not be refundable.
Proposals for special sessions are invited. Those wishing to organise special sessions are kindly invited to submit their proposals via the following submission portal: Special Session Proposals.
